These extremely warm long merino underpants for women are double-sided and can be turned to a smooth or a ribbed side depending on the temperature and activity level. With a fabric thickness of 400g/m², the Aclima Streamwool Longs definitely belong in the "extreme weather conditions" category and, as a thick first layer, provide plenty of warmth. The leggings are therefore not only suitable for winter sports in double-digit minus temperatures, but are also the first choice for professional use outdoors, as they provide excellent heat retention even when inactive for a while.
The ribbed side turned inwards creates additional warming air cushions and can thus achieve maximum heat efficiency. During greater physical exertion, however, the ribbed side is turned outwards, creating a larger surface area and thus a suction effect for sweat to the outside (capillary effect). A thinner and smoother insert in the crotch prevents chafing.
