This Merino Balaclava from the Devold Tuvegga series is reversible, combining a warm and a cooler side in one piece. Depending on the weather or sporting intensity, the balaclava can be adapted to temperature conditions by reversing it. Worn with the smooth side in, it quickly absorbs sweat, as the coarsely ribbed outer side then offers a larger surface area (capillary effect) and creates a channeling effect. If the ribbed structure is turned to the inside, additional air pockets are created and increase thermal performance. The already naturally superior temperature regulation of merino wool is thus supplemented with even more flexibility. The Devold Tuvegga Balaclava also fits under a helmet and provides protection against wind and cold even on icy ski days. In the mouth area, there is a thinner Merino Mesh insert with a breathing slit for the nose, to ensure targeted fresh air supply during intense exertion. Frozen condensation collects on the surface of the crimped wool fibers and can be easily wiped away with a glove.
