Ortovox is based in the Munich area and is one of the first manufacturers of innovative functional clothing made of and with wool. In addition to Merino functional underwear and sporty fleece jackets with Merino wool on the inside, Ortovox launched a fantastic innovation in 2011 with the Swisswool collection: wool insulation as a moisture-resistant alternative to down, as well as a warmer and more sustainable alternative to synthetic fiber padding.
The majority of Ortovox clothing is manufactured in Europe. Ortovox is also a system partner of the FairWear ® Foundation with Leader Status and also sets standards in animal welfare (Ortovox Wool Promise).
