The Ortovox Westalpen Swisswool Jacket for men is an insulation jacket filled with sustainable wool, offering an excellent compromise between down and synthetic insulations. The filling is significantly warmer than synthetic fibers and, unlike down, can get wet without losing its insulating properties. The PERTEX® QUANTUM outer fabric is windproof, highly water-repellent, and particularly abrasion-resistant, making it ideal for high-alpine use with a backpack. The storm hood with its high-cut collar provides reliable protection against wind and cold, while the Swisswool lining ensures balanced warmth. The jacket is very light and highly compressible, and can be used both as a warming mid-layer and as an outer windbreaker. The 2-way zipper allows for wearing a climbing harness, and the HIGH REACH FIT with longer sleeves and torso provides optimal freedom of movement, even when reaching high with a backpack. The Westalpen Swisswool Jacket is not only light and warm, but also regulates body temperature during strenuous activity. Perspiration does not lead to chilling, because wool still insulates excellently even when wet.
