The Aclima Warmwool Hood Sweater for men is a medium-thick merino base layer designed for unpleasant weather with strong winds. The multifunctional hood offers 3-in-1 uses, either as a normal hood, a balaclava, or by using the face opening as a neck-warming collar. However, it can also be pulled completely back thanks to the semi-circular fastening, leaving the collar completely free.
The inspiration for this exceptional hood construction is the changeable and windy weather in Norway. The family-run traditional company Aclima, based there, knows from decades of experience what is important when processing wool. The Aclima Warmwool series is manufactured in the company's own European factory using an elaborate interlock knitting technique that makes the merino wool fabric even smoother, softer and more robust.
The athletic fit with raglan sleeves and chafe-free flat seams is designed for high intensity of movement. The back panel is extended at the bottom to prevent it from slipping out of the pants when bending over. In addition, side rib-knitted panels ensure an almost wrinkle-free fit. The merino hooded shirt is a "special" for winter sports that are not only practiced in good weather.
