Devold is a Norwegian wool supplier with a long tradition. In 1853, Ole Andreas Devold founded a textile company that became known as an outfitter for the first polar expeditions in the late 19th century.

Even today, Devold’s development department is located in Alesund, the founder’s former hometown.

In addition to the traditional sweaters made of Norwegian wool, Devold now has a very large range of functional underwear made of merino wool and has its own textile factory in Lithuania, where high-quality European quality is produced.

Devold guarantees responsible wool origins without mulesing and with the highest standards in terms of animal welfare and sustainable land management. Every product can be traced back to the sheep farm.

Devold is one of the few manufacturers that has the entire manufacturing process under one roof, from yarn production to the finished product.

This enables complete quality control and, in combination with over 170 years of experience in wool processing, Devold can score points not only with high product quality, but also with particularly soft and skin-friendly merino fabrics.

Devold clothing is free from harmful substances and meets the OEKO-TEX®Standard100.
