The Hike+ Light Crew women's merino hiking socks from Icebreaker meet all the criteria needed for hiking all year round, namely comfort, fit, durability and breathability. This is ensured by features such as support zones in the Achilles and instep area, an asymmetrical sock tip for an optimal fit and a specially designed toe seam that prevents blisters. Strategically placed padding zones also prevent pressure points. Merino socks ensure a dry feeling, especially when used with waterproof hiking boots, as the wool can absorb a lot of moisture. The skin is less softened as a result and is therefore much better protected against blisters! This property is particularly important because the membrane pores of waterproof shoes quickly become clogged, as shoes cannot be washed like membrane clothing to clear the pores again.
