The Aclima Double Wool Balaclava consists of two connected layers of merino wool, which together result in a material thickness of 320g/m² and provide extreme thermal performance. The balaclava was developed for expeditions and double-digit sub-zero temperatures. The inside creates additional thermal pads with a mesh-like fabric and at the same time quickly wicks moisture to the outside, because the larger surface on the inside enhances the capillary effect (suction effect to the outside). The outside, on the other hand, is smooth so that snow does not get caught as easily. The mouthpiece is made entirely of merino mesh material, which facilitates breathing and reduces the condensation of breath moisture. The upper chest area is protected from penetrating cold and wind by an extension at the front.
