The Aclima Hotwool Light Jacket is a technical merino midlayer with a full zip and a lightly terry-brushed interior. Developed in Norway, this merino jacket is designed for the highest demands in terms of breathability and an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. The finely meshed terry structure on the inside creates a larger surface area than the outside, allowing sweat to be wicked away more quickly (capillary effect). At the same time, air pockets trapped in the spaces between the stitches provide warmth when needed. The precisely shaped thumb loops keep the sleeves in place. The ribbed knit outer fabric is exceptionally robust for a merino jacket and is therefore also suitable for direct backpack contact. The quality of the fabric is impressive and receives a special recommendation from us. The Hotwool Light Jacket is ideal for anyone who wants to achieve maximum thermal efficiency with minimal material weight and high breathability, and is particularly suitable as a second layer for trekking, mountaineering, and ski touring.
