The Ortovox Piz Vial Jacket is perfect for strenuous winter sports or as an transitional jacket for leisure. The wool insulation jacket is also a warmer and, above all, more sustainable alternative to synthetic fiber insulation jackets. The Swisswool padding is biodegradable and offers a more natural and balanced temperature sensation than synthetic insulation. Due to its lightness and small pack size, it is not only perfect for outdoor use, but also as an transitional jacket for leisure. In alpine use, it can serve as a highly breathable wind jacket on the ascent or as a warming mid-layer under a hardshell jacket.
The wool comes from certified sheep farming in the Swiss Alps. The Munich specialist for wool sportswear thus offers a thoroughly sustainable product with superior function and versatility in its range of use.
The high-quality outer fabric PERTEX® Quantum Diamond Fuse made from recycled polyamide ensures that the insulation jacket is reliably windproof and snow-repellent. In addition, the thin fabric is extremely abrasion-resistant and does not chafe under a backpack.
