Swisswool Piz Vial Jacket Men
This super-lightweight Ortovox jacket for men with Swisswool filling is an efficient thermal layer for ski touring, mountaineering, and other winter sports. Unlike down, it retains its warmth even when wet. The Ortovox Piz Vial Jacket is a warmer and, above all, more sustainable alternative to synthetic insulation jackets. The Swisswool wadding is biodegradable and provides a more natural and balanced temperature sensation than synthetic insulation. Due to its lightness and small pack volume, this wool insulation jacket is not only perfect for outdoor use but also as a transitional jacket for leisure. In alpine use, it can serve as a highly breathable windbreaker during ascents or as a warming mid-layer under a hardshell jacket.
The wool comes from certified sheep farming in the Swiss Alps. With its Swisswool jackets, the Munich-based manufacturer Ortovox offers a thoroughly sustainable product with superior function and versatility in its range of use.
The high-quality outer fabric PERTEX® Quantum Diamond Fuse made from recycled polyamide ensures that the insulation jacket is reliably windproof and water-repellent. Furthermore, the thin fabric is extremely abrasion-resistant and does not chafe under a backpack.
