These extremely warm men's long merino thermal trousers feature a double-sided construction, allowing them to be reversed to a smooth or ribbed side depending on temperature and activity level. With a fabric weight of 400g/m², the Aclima Streamwool Longs clearly fall into the expedition category and are designed for extreme weather conditions. As a thick first layer, they act as a "personal heater" and are therefore not only suitable for winter sports in double-digit sub-zero temperatures, but are also the first choice for outdoor professional use, as they provide excellent heat retention even during intermittent inactivity.
When the ribbed side is worn inwards, it creates additional warming air pockets, achieving maximum thermal efficiency. However, during greater physical exertion, the ribbed side is turned outwards, creating a larger surface area and thus a wicking effect for sweat (capillary effect). A thinner, smooth insert in the crotch prevents chafing.
Aclima underwear is inspired by the harsh Norwegian winters. In Norway, people know that compromises in equipment are not a good idea and have always appreciated the benefits of wool. State-of-the-art spinning technology and Scandinavian know-how create outstanding product quality.
