This Merino Fleece Vest by Ortovox is a functional men's mid-layer with a waffle structure and merino wool on the inside. The air pockets formed in the spaces provide additional thermal performance, and the channeling effect wicks away sweat faster. The merino interior can absorb a lot of moisture and release it to the outer layer. In addition, the waffle construction saves material weight and thus packing volume. The Merino Fleece Grid Vest has a small and a large chest pocket, which can also accommodate a hiking map or other mountaineering essentials. An ergonomic cut and high stretchability round off the comfortable fit. The Ortovox Fleece Grid series was designed in Bavaria and manufactured in the European Union. The merino wool comes from certified mulesing-free sheep farming in Tasmania.
